Holidays in Alassio
is the center of the Riviera delle Palme , as the coast of the province of Savona is called. According to legend, Alassio took its name from Adelasia , daughter of Otto I , emperor of the Holy Roman Empire until 973. In its history, the city was under the Genoese dominion and from the end of the 19th century the tourism of artists and intellectuals made it an elite goal.

The beach of Alassio, with its shallow water, is certainly the best on the Riviera di Ponente and is located between the promenade of Italy and the promenade of Via Roma. The wall of Alassio, also famous for the beauty contest that takes place in the city every year, preserves over 700 ceramics with the signatures of all the celebrities who have passed through the Caffè Roma from the 1950s to today.
You can take the ancient Roman road, via Julia Augusta , up to Capo Santa Croce with the 13th century church on the sea and further on, you reach Albenga, along the burial archaeological finds.
